-We look forward to contribute in implementing the Norwegian governments new India strategy together with Innovation Norway, NBAI and other private and public players, Per Reinboth, Chairman in NICCI said at today’s breakfast meeting at Litteraturhuset in Oslo.
Todays meeting was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Innovation Norway to launch the Norwegian Governments new India Strategy «Norway-India 2030».
The breakfast meeting was opened by The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen Søreide. The meeting was also held to give practical information about the planned Norwegian Prime minister visit and business delegation to India in January 2019.
-It is not easy to succeed in the Indian Market. It requires a lot of preparation, knowledge, stamina, patience and a long-term perspective, Mr. Reinboth continued.
-Our most important asset is our 70 members, counting the majority of big and medium sized companies actively engaged in Norway-India business. Together they represent unique knowledge and experience which they are willing to share at our regular networking events and seminars, Per Reinboth continued.
-Use the Norwegian support system in India. Per Reinboth pointed at Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Embassy in Delhi and the Consulate General in Mumbai as the main players to give Norwegian companies valuable and necessary operative help on ground in India.
-One of the key factors to success is understanding the Indian business culture. This is where NICCI has its core competence through our member network, Mr. Reinboth said.
-We are among the most capable organizations in Norway to give advice on this topic, Per Reinboth said and welcomed the members of the business delegation to connect with NICCI General Manger Trond Skundberg that is present in Delhi in January.

-Use the social program for what it is worth. Both Indian and Norwegian business contacts are flattered by being invited to a dinner hosted by a Prime Minister.
