NICCI had a very fruitful meeting with Ambassador Debraj Pradhan on Friday 28th October. Several co-organized events in November and December were concretized.

Ambassador Pradhan arrived in Oslo on October 12, 2016. He presented his Credentials to His Majesty King Harald V on October 20, 2016.
The representatives of Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the Ambassador to Norway, informed about our members and activities, and welcomed a close cooperation ahead.
Ambassador Pradhan signalized a sincere interest in working closely with the Chamber, and the first opportunities to interact with the NICCI members will be an exclusive breakfast for NICCI’s partner members and a larger scale Invest in India seminar on the 6th December were NICCI members and NICCI stakeholders will be invited.
This India business seminar will be organized at the offices of our partner member SCHJØDT in Vika, Oslo. The Indian Embassy will host the lunch following the seminar. The Ambassador will be the Keynote speaker and will update us on the very latest development on the Indian business scene and the ongoing initiatives from the Government of India to ease foreign investments in India.
Mr. Debraj Pradhan was born on 27 June 1958. He holds Masters degree in Political Science. Mr. Pradhan joined the Indian Foreign Service in August 1981 and has had 10 assignments in different countries prior to arriving in Norway. His latest postings were as Ambassador of India to Angola in October 2011 and continued as Ambassador of India in Luanda till February 2014 and from March 2014 to August 2016 he was accredited as Ambassador of India to the Republic of Chile.
