Thank you all for being part of our NICCI member meeting yesterday 24 April. With 30 engaged members in the room, the event demonstrated strong engagement from everyone present. A big thank-you to our corporate member CMS Kluge for hosting us at their beautiful offices at Aker Brygge. Thanks to our main guest Henrik Chetan Aspengren, panelists Annette Holte, Amit Mital, Harald Kleiven and Pål Grandal, Erlend Sannes and Hogne Hide for member updates.

Henrik Chetan Aspengren gave us a thought-provoking presentation on India’s growing global role, grounded in his recent research on public and business perceptions in Sweden. His key message: outdated views and a general lack of knowledge are holding back greater collaboration with India. This sparked a valuable discussion on how NICCI can help shift the narrative – from hesitation to confidence – and play an active role in building a more informed and opportunity-focused understanding of India among Norwegian businesses.

A heartfelt thanks to our excellent panelists sharing useful experience from their work in India:
- Annette Holte, Country manager in Kongsberg Maritime, based in Mumbai
- Amit Mital, Country Chair in DNV, based in Høvik outside Oslo
- Harald Kleiven, Sales Director Emerging Markets in Cambi Group
Your openness and real-world reflections on doing business in India were both inspiring and of practical use for the network.

We also greatly appreciated the NICCI member business updates from:
- Erlend Sannes from NHO shared insights about the upcoming Nordic Summit in Oslo,
- Pål Grandal from UiA spoke about the Norway-India Higher Education Summit in Grimstad
- Hogne Hide highlighted the exciting Norway-India link of Norway Chess and Norway Summit in Stavanger.

Thank you all for keeping the Norway India business community exclusively updated and inspired.
It was wonderful to see the lively conversations and networking after the program. These informal moments are where new opportunities are born and it’s a reminder of the strength of our NICCI community.
Surprise guest introduction to NICCI Members
Bjørn Iversen, who will soon take on the role of Director of Innovation Norway in India, joined our meeting yesterday and quickly became a hit during the mingling session. The discussions we had with him reinforce our optimism for a strong and fruitful collaboration in the years to come.

Last but not least, a big thank-you to our moderators Helge Tryti and Vineet Jain for guiding us through the program – keeping the energy high throughout the afternoon.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
