Nammo India Private Ltd was established in May 2016, and only about a month later their office opens in Defence Colony, New Delhi.

Nammo, a Norwegian enterprise expertizing in manufacturing of ammunition and weapons of various platforms, has as of June 2016 launched Nammo India Private Limited, which marks the beginning of Nammo’s permanent presence in India. The official ceremony on June 3rd included participants such as the Norwegian Ambassador Nils Ragnar Kamsvag, The Norwegian Defense Attaché and Innovation Norway. The newly established branch in New Delhi has as mission to support India in tis defense modernization programmes in addition to participate actively in the –Make in India- initiative introduced by President Modi in order to transform India into a global design in response to the economic situation of India today.
The Nammo Group is according to a press release viewed as a world leader in both the development and production of several high-tech weapon systems.
The New Delhi office will serve the Indian market for all Nammo’s business units. Managing Director Karanjit Singh Chopra is running the office.
