We are honored that the Indian top politicians chose to spend time with representatives from NICCI on their study trip to Norway.
This early Winter visit to Norway, is part of a long-term goal to strengthen political ties between India and Norway. Important elements of this is initiating contact and build Norway knowledge among young leading politicians in India.
After a presentation of NICCI and our members, our guests showed a huge appetite on more knowledge about India-Norway bilateral trade. The dialogue meeting ended as intended -with new relations created, with plans to take forward.
Anurag Thakur (BJP) is a member of the Parliament of India, the Lok Sabha. He is from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. He is third time MP. Member of 14, 15 and 16th Lok Sabha. He was first elected to Lok Sabha in May 2008 in a by poll as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party. He won once again from Hamirpur representing BJP in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. He was elected as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India in May 2016.
Milind Deora (Congress) was a member of the Parliament of India (15th Lok Sabha), from the Mumbai South constituency. Deora is the Former Minister of State with the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications and the Former Minister of State with the Ministry of Shipping within the Government of India. Deora is one of the youngest members of the current Lok Sabha. He became MP at the age of 27.
