Webinar on November 30, 2023 from 10:30 CET (15.00 IST)
The Act will provide for the processing of digital personal data in a manner that recognises both the right of individuals to protect their personal data and the need to process such personal data for lawful purposes and for matters connected therewith. This extends to both internal and external stakeholders- employees, customers as well as suppliers.
Moreover, the Act will also apply to processing of digital personal data outside the territory of India in connection with any activity related to offering of goods or services to Data Principals within the territory of India, hence has wide ranging implications for Norwegian companies that may not be legally present in India but do business with Indian partners/customers. It is also believed that the Act will be more stringent than the European Act.
The session will cover various aspects of the Act and its implications on your company; some topics to be covered are:
- Need for the DPDP Act in India.
